Ground Rules
I'd like to reiterate the ground rules for posting comments on this site. If you've made a comment and it hasn't been posted, or has been edited, it's probably for one of the following reasons. You may want to re-write your comment and re-post it after considering the ground rules.
1. No profanity or gratuitous name-calling. Comments that serve no real purpose or are duplicative also will be taken down.
2. Limit comments to the facts and be sure you can support any statements that are made. Be precise with your wording. For example, do not state that someone committed a crime if they were never convicted of a crime and it is only your opinion that whatever they did might have been illegal. Recently, I did not approve a comment for this reason.
3. If you make entries that link to Wikipedia, the entry must conform to Wikipedia's guidelines. I'm not a Wikipedia editor and can't necessarily judge how they will interpret everything, but if an entry appears unbalanced or unsubstantiated I won't post the link.
4. Your comment should be complete and understandable on its own merits. Please do not make readers follow a llnk to another site or make reference to material you've written elsewhere. I welcome everyone's opinion, but the discussion taking place here is to convenience followers of this blog, and I will remove comments that redirect readers in this manner. From time to time, however, I may refer to other blogs or material written elsewhere that is of interest to readers.
5. If you have a commercial or financial relationship with the subject of your post or a thread, you need to state it. If you own Berkshire Hathaway stock and are making a relevant comment, say so. If you are a NetJets vendor, disclose it. If Berkshire Hathaway subsidiaries advertise on your website, tell us. (I don't own Berkshire stock and don't have any financial relationships with any of the subjects mentioned here.)
6. Like most websites, this one supports anonymous posting. Please do not abuse the privilege of posting anonymously. The purpose is to bring out information that would not be revealed, rather than to encourage character assassination. People here are expected to behave with more dignity than is typically the case on a stock bulletin board.
Thanks for your cooperation in making this website a quality reading experience for everyone.
Alice
